My Story

1. Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of?
That would be my track *“Aerial Tides.”* For years, I tried to mimic the sound of the classic Coldharbour sound, and with this track I think I came close to that sound for the first time.

2. What's the biggest misconception about Producing?
That your first tracks already need to be professional. I would say that the first years of your music production career are primarily for developing a passion for music, and after that passion is created, you can take the next step into creating a professional sound.

3. How would you describe your production style?
My core focus is trying to recreate a certain vibe. Most of my music is inspired by summer feelings and the feeling of being at the beach.

4. What type of music do you usually Produce?
Summer-oriented trance, often inspired by techy influences and Ibiza trance compilations.

5. Analog or digital and why?
If you can afford analog equipment then by all means, go ahead. It can surely help in adding creativity. Although, with the recent development of VST software and mixing plugins, the difference in quality becomes thinner and thinner. Luckily, there are lots of high-quality analogue-modelled plugins that are relatively affordable.

6. What do you like most about Electronic music?
The effect it has to take you to a dream world, a meditative state. I don’t experience that with most acoustic music.

7. How long have you been making music?
   Since 2010, professionally since 2017.

8. What's your typical work process?
I first try to figure out what feeling/vibe I want to create. Then I decide what genre/subgenre it will fall under. The next step will be collecting sounds specific for this sound/vibe. Then the production process begins, followed by the mixing process. I do make sure early on that the low end sounds tight though.

9. Tell us about your studio setup.
Right now, it primarily consists of a laptop, MIDI controller, headphones, and an interface because I’m currently on the move.

10. Can you share one production tip?
Less is more. A great sound doesn’t need a lot of processing unless it’s for creative purposes. Don’t put mixing/mastering plugins on the master bus besides one EQ and some analytical plugins.

11. What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
There are a few: Markus Schulz, for bringing an underground sound to a global audience, and other pioneers like Sunny Lax, Mike Foyle, Rex Mundi, Arty, Arnej, Mat Zo, Dennis Sheperd, Rom Di Prisco, David Bergeaud, and Harry Lemon.

12. What are some upcoming events or projects you are excited about?
I recently joined a regional artist agency. With that comes the possibility of new bookings in the future. Exciting times.

13. Where can we find out more about your music?
